NSFAS Closes Head Office and Walk-In Centre

NSFAS has closed their walk-in centres as a preventative measure against the spread of the Coronavirus. Staff from the head office were sent home for the day so that the office could be disinfected as a safety measure.  However NSFAS management stressed that students will still be supported and they can contact NSFAS, with enquiries handled via email, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The coronavirus has forced many institutions to shut their doors temporarily and now NSFAS has done the same. To lower the risk of transmission, NSFAS has developed preventative measures, while still being able to deliver their servivces to students.

NSFAS has stated, concerning their walk-in center in Wynberg, "Due to the current health risks and group gathering restrictions, the NSFAS Service Centre will not be open for face to face assistance."

In their statement to the public, NSFAS says, "We can firmly confirm that NSFAS is implementing measures to ensure that payments and processing of applications is not affected.
We will continue to focus on ensuring business continuity and adequate support for our stakeholders who require assistance during this time."
