NSFAS has recently come across a Facebook page that is scamming students. The page claims to help students with their NSFAS allowances, however, they are actually scamming them of their allowances.

The National Students Financial Aid Scheme released a statement to warn students about a Facebook group that is targeting NSFAS students.

The group is called “NSFAS Updates and Wallet Help”, which aims to scam students out of their NSFAS allowances.

“Please be warned that this group is a scam and is in no way affiliated with NSFAS”, read the statement.

The organisation condemns any activity, including messages, sent by this group.

NSFAS urges students to be cautious and not to join or share their personal information with the above-mentioned group or any other party other than NSFAS.

Please note these are the official NSFAS social media platforms for all your updates:

  • Facebook: National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS)
  • Twitter: @myNSFAS
  • Instagram: MyNSFAS
