New Lockdown Regulations Released on Alchohol and Masks

Soon after the President finished speaking to the nation on Sunday night a new Government Gazette was release with details of the new restrictions on the sale of alcohol and the wearing of masks.

Soon after the President finished speaking to the nation on Sunday night a new Government Gazette was release with details of the new restrictions on the sale of alcohol and the wearing of masks.

The rulings on masks are to become stricter. It is now legally enforceable that you must wear a mask in all buildings.

Taxis have to be no more than 70% full on long trips but on short trips can be 100% full.  This is as long as they abide by hygiene rules and keep windows open.

The ban on the sale and transport of alcohol has been introduced again with immediate effect.

A curfew has been re-introduced so people must not leave their houses from 9pm until 4am starting from Monday 13 July.

The President said some relaxations will be introduced but these are very limited. Auctions will be allowed and parks will be opened for exercise (but not for gatherings).

He also announced that the national State of Disaster has been extended until 15 August 2020

Family visits, and other social activities, remain banned for now.
