Not happy with your Matric results? Well, here's your second chance. You can now register to rewrite your Matric exams.
This is only for those who wrote the National Senior Certificate (NSC) June 2021 examinations.
These supplementary examinations are there for the following categories of people:
- Missed a subject's exam
- Failed a subject's exam
- Want to improve on Matric exam results
- Did not reach the result needed to get into your institution or programme of choice
Registrations will close on 7 September.
To register, you should visit your nearest Distric Office and register there.
Those who wrote the Senior Certificate (SC) June 2021 exams can only register for the June 2022 SC assessments. Registration opens in October and the exact dates will be communicated in due course.
Just last week, the Department of Basic Education (DBE) released the results for the May/June Matric exam rewrite, or what's also known as the Second Chance Matric Programme.
239 024 were enrolled to write during that examination period. This includes both NSC and SC candidates.
The total number of students who attained a pass in mathematics and physical sciences is 11 557 and 8 258, respectively.
