With the 2020 school year coming to an end and the academic year for some tertiary institutions finishing, higher education now has to put plans in place for next year as we all try to live alongside the virus and minimise it's effects.
It has been a tough year for all South African students with some academic years only ending in March of next year. Some Universities have however already finished their academic year.
All our Universities are fully committed to completing the 2020 academic year by mid-March 2021.

There are now concerns when it comes to planning for the 2021 academic year.
For the Class of 2020, places in tertiary institutions won't be left unfilled if there are qualified students to enter those programmes.
When the NSC exams are properly concluded and that the results are issued on 23 February as the plan currently is because the planning for the 2021 academic year is really based on the proper completion of that process.
