Classes Resume At Witbank Technical High School

Two teachers and three more pupils have been suspended at Witbank Technical High School in eMalahleni, Mpumalanga.
This comes after there was a protest against racism at the school last week, which led to lessons suspended for a week due to safety concerns after the protest escalated into violence.
Classes have however now resumed.
The allegations were made after five pupils were involved in a fight. Two black learners were suspended while their three white schoolmates involved were allowed to continue with schooling.
This led to a protest in which parents who sided with the two black pupils felt that the school was being racially biased towards the two suspended pupils for allowing the three white pupils to continue with school activities.
Mpumalanga Premier, Refilwe Maria Mtsweni, visited the school and said that the fight which broke out between the five learners was not racially motivated but that the two teachers involve failed to handle the matter between the pupils appropriately.
This was not a racial incident as I'm saying, the reason why we have put these two teachers into precautionary suspension is because of their behaviour. They were trying to correct something that is not right amongst the children, as they did that it was a question of how they did it and what exacerbated the situation and made it even worse was the issues of this Hofmeyer having to come to school and influence these children along racial lines.
The department of education has launched an investigation into the matter. Some of the learners have admitted that they still fear for their safety since they don't know what might happen going forward.
I'm scared its gonna happen again and all this turn into a racial thing and I don't feel safe at school, so Is the racial thing gonna go on or is it gonna blow over?
The five suspended learner will be allowed to write their exams.
