Monday 5th April 2021

South Africa's total of confirmed Covid-19 cases has increased by 452 new cases, bringing the total cases in the country to 1 552 416.

9 979 294 tests have been conducted.

On a rather gloomy note, the death toll sits at 52 995 deaths with 8 more deaths recorded in the last 24 hours.

However, to lift the spirits a bit, recoveries stand at 1 478 088 producing a recovery rate of 945%.

The total vaccinations performed so far are at 269 102.

Wednesday 31st March 2021

Health Minister, Zwelini Mkhize, has confirmed that South Africa has 1 548 157 cases in total. In the last 24 hours, 1422 more positive cases were reported.

Unfortunately, the country now mourns 52 846 South Africans who succumbed to the virus with 58 of these deaths being reported in the last 24 hours. 

On the brighter side, recoveries now stand at 1 474 319 translating to a recovery rate of 95%.

South Africa has carried out a total of 9 879 348 tests.

As for the total vaccines which were administered, South Africa has administered a total of 263 878 inoculations.

Tuesday 30th March 2021

With 9 844 835 Covid tests having been done since the very first one, South Africa has seen 1 546 735 positive cases being confirmed. 756 of these cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.

Recoveries in the country stands at 1 473 588, leaving the recovery rate to be at 95%.

Deaths resulting from Covid have grown by 78 making the death toll from Covid be 52 788.

Currently, 251 707 individuals have been vaccinated so far.

South Africa now has a total of 1 545 979 cases, 548 new cases have been reported since the last report.

Our recovery rate stands at 95% with 1 472 645 recoveries in total across the country. 

Deaths resulting from Covid come to a total of 52 710, with 47 new deaths being reported since the last report.

The total number of vaccines administered so far comes to 239 665.

Tests done so far come to a total of 9 819 994.

Sunday 28th March 2021

South Africa now has a total of 1 545 431 positive cases, after 965 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The number of tests done stand at 9 803 871 which shows that the country has a positivity rate of 15.7%.

Recoveries stand at 1 471 899 resulting in the recovery rate being an improved 95%.

The deaths resulting from Covid-19 is at 52 663, with 95 new deaths reported since the last report.

So far, 231 605 vaccines have been administered.

Thursday 25th March 2021

South Africa now has a total of 1 541 563 positive cases, after 1554 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

Our recovery rate stands at 95% with 1 467 254 recoveries in total across the country.

Deaths resulting from Covid have grown by 163 making the death toll from Covid be 52 535.

South Africa has carried out a total of 9 722 821 Covid tests.

The total number of individuals who received vaccines come to 220 129.

Wednesday 24th March 2021

The country now has a total of 1 540 009 positive cases of Covid-19. 1048 of these cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.

The deaths resulting from Covid come to a total of 52 372, 121  have been reported since the previous day.

South Africa has a recovery rate of 95% with a total of 1 466 595 recoveries.

So far, 207 808 vaccines have been administered and 9 690 819 Covid tests have been done since the very beginning.

Tuesday 23rd March 2021

South Africa now has a total of 1 538 961 positive cases, after 510 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

The number of tests done stand at 9 665 664.

Recoveries stand at 1 465 204 resulting in the recovery rate being an impressive 95%.

The deaths resulting from Covid-19 is at 52 251, with 55 new deaths reported since the last report.

As of 6PM, the total number of individuals who received vaccines come to 194 257.

Monday 22nd March 2021

The total of positive cases found in the country since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 1 538 451 with 599 new cases being reported since yesterday.

9 649 219 tests have been conducted so  far.

Total deaths are at 52 196 while recoveries are at 1 463 953, a recovery rate of 95%.

Thursday 18th March 2021

1464 new cases were recorded since the last report. This leaves the confirmed total of positive cases to stand at 1 533 961.

Deaths relating to Covid have increased by 90 making the total deaths come to 51 724.

Recoveries in the country now stand at 1 459 894. This would mean that our recovery rate stands at 95%.

9 556 404 Covid tests have been done and there have been 177 275 vaccinations so far.

Wednesday 17th March 2021

A confirmed total of 1 532 497 positive cases were recorded with 1531 new cases being recorded in the last 24 hours.

Deaths resulting from Covid-19 are now at 51 634, with 74 of these reported in the last 24 hours.

In brighter news, recoveries stand at 1 459 056 which translates to a recovery rate of 95%.

A total of 168 413 vaccinations have been done so far and 9 524 854 people tested for Covid.

Tuesday 16th March 2021

So far, 9 490 435 tests have been done and 157 286 vaccines have been administered.

South Africa has a death toll which comes to a total of 51 560 with 139 new deaths reported.

As for the total positive Covid cases recorded, that stands at 1 530 966 with 933 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.

Our recovery rate stands at 95% bringing recoveries total to 1 458 001.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country stands at 1 530 033 with 613 of those cases being reported in the last 24 hours.

South Africa's recovery rate is 95% with 1 455 325 recoveries.

Deaths resulting from Covid-19 come to a total of 51 421, 95 of them being new. 

Tests having been done comes to a total of 9 465 515 and vaccinations are at a total of 147 753.

South Africa's total of confirmed Covid-19 cases has increased by 1006 new cases, bringing the total cases in the country to 1 529 420.

9 450 492 tests have been conducted and 145 544 vaccines have been administered.

On a rather gloomy note, the death toll sits at 51 326 deaths with 65 more deaths recorded in the last 24 hours. 

However, to lift the spirits a bit, recoveries stand at 1 454 290 producing a recovery rate of 95%.

Thursday 11th March 2021

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country stands at 1 525 648 with 1474 of those cases being reported in the last 24 hours.

South Africa's recovery rate is 94.8% with 1 447 503 recoveries.

Deaths resulting from Covid-19 come to a total of 51 110, 95 of them being new. 

So far, 138 014 vaccines have been administered and a total of 9 369 594 Covid tests have been done.

Wednesday 10th March 2021

The Minister of Health, Zweli Mkhize, confirmed that the country has grown by 1477 more positive cases in the last 24 hours bringing the total of positive Covid cases in the country to 1 524 174.

Deaths resulting from Covid has grown by 109 leading the death toll to be 51 055.

Recoveries from Covid in South Africa stand at 1 445 979 with a recovery rate of 94.8%. 

There have been a total of 9 336 101 Covid tests done so far and 128 887 vaccines have been administered.

South Africa now has a total of 1 522 697 cases.

Our recovery rate stands at 94.8% with 1 444 282 recoveries in total across the country. 

Deaths resulting from Covid come to a total of 50 906, with 103 new deaths being reported since the last report.

The total number of vaccines administered so far are 118 247.
