How to Do a Sassa Status Check for R370 Payment Date
To check your status, visit the Sassa SRD status website and go to the status check section. You’ll need to enter your ID number and the cellphone number used when applying for the grant.
After submitting your details, you’ll receive a one-time PIN (OTP) for security verification. Once entered, you’ll be able to view your R370 Sassa grant status, including your payment date.
This will show the exact day your payment is expected to reflect in your bank account.
Where to Collect SRD Grant Payments
Bank Account
Beneficiaries can choose to have their grant paid directly into their personal bank account. This is usually the fastest and most secure method of receiving the funds.
Retail Stores
Alternatively, you can collect your SRD grant in cash at participating retailers, including Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, USave, and Boxer.
Be sure to bring your South African ID when collecting your R370 Sassa grant at any of these retail outlets.
Sassa has advised that there is no need to rush to withdraw the funds on the first day of payment. The grant money will remain in your account until you are ready to collect it.
