Soon, Sassa grant payments will start being disbursed to beneficiaries for October 2024. Here's where Sassa beneficiaries can collect their Sassa grants.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) makes grant payments to over 18 million South Africans every month. As September is ending and October is about to commence, it's important that Sassa grant beneficiaries have all the information they need about October Sassa grants.

In October 2024, these Sassa grants will be distributed from the second day of the month. However, beneficiaries of other grant will have to wait a few more days for their grant payments as Sassa does not pay grants to beneficiaries on weekends. 

Sassa Grant Dates For October 2024

Sassa announced the following Sassa grant payment dates for October 2024:

  • Older Persons Grant - 2 October 2024
  • Disability Grants - 3 October 2024
  • Children's Grants - 4 October 2024

There is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.

Where To Collect Your Sassa Grant

Sassa beneficiaries can choose to have their Sassa grant be paid directly to their bank account.

Sassa grant beneficiaries can also collect their Sassa social grants at several payment points. These payment points include ATMs and retail stores such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite and Boxer.

How Much Sassa Grants Will Be For October 2024

  • Older Persons grant - R2,190
  • Older Persons (75 years and older) - R2,210
  • Disability grant - R2,190
  • War Veterans grant - R2,210
  • Child Support Grant - R530
  • Care Dependency grant - R2,190
  • Foster Care grant - R1,180
  • Child Support grant (Top-up) - R530 + R250
  • SRD Grant - R370

Sassa distributes more than 18 million permanent grant payments monthly which include the Older Persons pension grant, Disability grant, War Veterans grant, Care Dependency grant, Foster Child grant, Child Support grant, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.
