Millions of vulnerable people rely on Sassa grants to purchase basic goods every month. One of these Sassa grants is the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant.
The SRD grant, which is also known as the R350 grant, was introduced to assist SA residents with no regular job or other grant income. The grant is governed under the Social Assistance Act, providing financial assistance to vulnerable members of society who need financial support - in the form of social security benefits.
