The first round of Sassa grants for the month of October are currently being released. Sassa beneficiaries can begin going to their different collection points to receive their payouts.

The South African Social Services Agency (Sassa) has supported the disadvantaged South African population through the release of monthly financial support grants since 2005. These grants range from Childcare grants to Older Persons grants, with various support grants in between.

Sassa Grant Payment Schedule

Most grants are typically released from the first of every month, and the same applies for the month of October. Sassa grants are being released according to the following payment schedule:

How To Collect Your Grant

Bank Payments

To receive one of Sassa’s permanent grants through your bank account, you will have to register your bank details by filling in Sassa’s Annexure C/ bank form. Once completed, the form will have to be submitted to your nearest Sassa office.

For the temporary SRD grant to be transferred into your account, beneficiaries are urged to add their details through the online application

Retailers or Paypoints

Payments can also be collected using your Sassa card from different retailers and paypoints, such as:

  • OK
  • Checkers
  • Pick ‘n Pay
  • Boxer Stores
  • Shoprite
  • Usave Stores
  • Mobile Cash Paypoints

Sassa beneficiaries should keep note of the beneficiary release dates relevant to them to ensure that they receive their payouts.
