Sassa Grants For June Now Being Paid

Sassa is expected to pay 18 million grants to deserving beneficiaries over the next few days. Todays grant payments will start for the older persons grants.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) is now paying June 2024 social grants. 18 million people are elected to receive a permanent grant payment over the next week. 

Permanent Grants distributed by Sassa include Older Persons pension grants, Disability grants, War Veterans grants, Care Dependency grants, Foster Child grants, Child Support grants, Child Support grant Top-Up and Grant-in-aid.

When Your Sassa Grant Will Be Paid 

Sassa will begin paying the Older Persons Grant on 4 June 2024. Disability Grants on 5 June 2024and Sassa will pay all Children's Grants on 6 June 2024.

Where To Collect Your Sassa Grant

Grant beneficiaries have the option to receive their grants directly deposited into their bank accounts. Alternatively, they can collect their grants in cash at various locations, including ATMs and stores like Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, and Boxer. Sassa recommends not feeling pressured to withdraw the money right away because it will stay in your bank account after it is deposited. 

There is no need to rush to withdraw cash on the first day. Once the money is in the account, it will remain there until it is needed.

How Much Sassa Grant Payment Are For June 2024 

The Older Persons grant will be R2,180, while those aged 75 years and older will receive R2,200. The Disability grant will be R2,180, and the War Veterans grant will be R2,200. The Care Dependency grant will be R2,180. The Foster Care grant will be R1,180, and the Child Support grant will be R530. Additionally, the Child Support grant with a top-up will be R530 plus an extra R250.

 

Sassa grants will increase again on 1 October 2024, so beneficiaries will see more money in their bank accounts from that date. The grants were first increased on 1 April 2024.
