Sorry but Unisa has officially declared that they won't be accepting late applications. They also gave further details on Grade 12s of 2020 wanting to join the University and payment of fees.

Unisa released a statement which said:

Unisa will not accept any late applications or any requests for qualification changes.

They have also made it clear that placements will not be done at Unisa's regional offices and urged prospective students to not go to any regional office for feedback on their application.

Now that the Matric results for 2020 are out, once Unisa received them, they will then start offering spaces to Grade 12 applicants.

Unisa will make offers based on the number of spaces available for each qualification.

As for the payment of fees, Unisa also gave an instruction for students who are having their fees paid by a third party.

If your study fees are paid by a third party, which is a sponsor or employer, you must send the proof of payment to [email protected] for payment allocation.

Once you're accepted at Unisa, you will need to activate and use your myLife email account for communication as this is the only way Unisa will communicate with you.

To activate your email, you must first claim your myUnisa account, if you haven't already done so. Then you should go to the myUnisa website and click on "Claim Unisa login". Thereafter, follow the steps carefully.

Unisa will send all official communication (eg your exam timetable and results) to this e-mail account, which means that it's very easy to find information when you need it.

You can access your myLife e-mail account from any network and from anywhere in the world. You just need internet access.
