The Department of Basic Education (DBE) has released the results of the May/June 2024 Matric Rewrite re-marks and re-checks.

Where To Collect Matric Re-mark/Re-check Results

Candidates who applied for a re-mark or re-check of their National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination scripts can collect their results from the school or exam center where they sat for the examinations.

Candidates will only receive a new statement of results if their results improved or pass status changed after the re-mark/re-check. In this case, you can apply for a refund.

If the matric results stayed the same or decreased, no refund can be issued.

What is a Matric Re-mark?

A matric re-mark involves a complete re-evaluation of your original answer script by a different marker. This is done when candidates believe their assigned marks do not accurately reflect their performance in the exam.

Unhappy with your results? You can rewrite

The next matric rewrite exam period available for applications will be the 2025 SC/NSC May/June examinations as registrations for the 2024 October/November matric exam period are now closed. The registration for the 2025 Senior Certificate and National Senior Certificate May/June examinations will officially open on 1 October 2024 and will close on 7 February 2025.
