Registration for the 2025 May/June matric examinations is closing soon. Grade 12 candidates have less than 24 hours to register for the exams.

The registration opened in October 2024 and will close on 7 February 2025. This means that candidates have less than a day to confirm their registration for the matric exam rewrites..

While NSC matric candidates could register to rewrite their matric exams during the November matric exams, Senior Certificate students are only permitted to participate in the 2025 May/June Matric exams.

Senior Certificate candidates can only rewrite their examination in May/June 2025.

The May/June 2025 exams are the first opportunity for candidates who are not satisfied with their matric exam results to improve their results. The DBE does not run February/March supplementary matric exams.

The supplementary examination in February/March has been phased out and is therefore no longer available. A new examination is available during May/June where candidates can improve their results or complete outstanding results. The closing date for application for 2025 is 7 February 2025.

Senior Certificate candidates can register for the 2025 May/June examinations online. However, NSC  students must visit their nearest District office to complete their registration.
