Phase 5 applications for the Basic Education Employment Initiative (BEEI) closed on 9 May 2025. Shortlisted applicants are encouraged to prepare several documents which will be required by the schools to finalise their applications.

The Department of Basic Education (DBE) confirmed the interviewing and contracting of applicants will commence on 19 May and the process is expected to conclude on 31 May 2025.

Shortlisted candidates will receive an SMS from the school or Provincial Education Department (PED) inviting them for an interview.

The SMS will be from the schools between 19 and 26 May 2025.

Applicants must provide schools/provincial education departments with several documents if they are invited for an interview.
