Tshwane Mayor Launches Tswelopele Cleanup Campaign

On Friday, the 25th of February 2022, Tshwane Minister Randall Williams announced the launch of Tswelopele Action Fridays.
The efforts began with Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Roads and Transport, Dikeledi Selowa, leading a group in cleanup efforts in Region 3, Saulsville. The announcement mentioned the great feats of progress made in the day, with 1 550 bags of waste having been collected throughout the day's work.
The statement of announcement from the mayor ended with the following: "We all have a collective responsibility to keep our City clean. #StopLittering".
These "Action" efforts are set to be an ongoing, weekly endeavour, to maintain regions in Tshwane.
