On the morning of the 8th of October, Gauteng Premier David Makhura and Johannesburg Executive Mayor, Mpho Moerane were photographed at the Kelvin Power Station signing a Power Purchase Agreement with the power plant.
Engagement in this agreement means that a further 100 megawatts (MW) from 80 MW to Johannesburg homes and businesses. Once again, this monumental achievement comes in the midst of the upcoming municipal elections, nonetheless, the agreement serves major benefits for the City of Johannesburg, which demands a lot of electricity.
