Deputy Minister of Education Hands Over In Uitenhage

On the 8th of November, 2021, Deputy Minister for the Department of Basic Education, Regina Mhaule and Eastern Cape Member of Executive Council (MEC) for Education, Fundile Gade, handed over a Special School in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape.
The school goes by the official name of Sunshine Special School and has been created to support students with disability. On the day of hand-over, Dr. Mhaule shared the following:
"All our learners deserve state of the art learning facilities to prepare them for their future. We're excited to hand over Sunshine Special School in Uitenhage, with MEC Fundile Gade".
As per an official government statement, the school sets out to "provide access to quality education for learners with special educational needs".
