The Democratic Alliance (DA) party, which has seen much transformation over recent years, and quite a bit of political criticism with leadership and party direction having been changed multiple times, has recently claimed a win for themselves after the Municipal Elections in the beginning of November.

At 10:00 on the morning of Friday, the 12th of November, members attended the uMngeni Inauguration, the first KwaZulu-Natal Municipality that they have been able to gain government control over.

Outside of this being a milestone for the DA party, this change is equally a reflection of the African National Congress (ANC) losing its grip over the South African public, who have slowly begun to usher in new leadership in certain areas of the country because of the people's loss of confidence in the ANC party.
