ActionSA Introduces Their Youngest Councillors-Elect

ActionSA, a relatively new South African political organisation which was started up in 2020 by former Johannesburg mayor, Herman Mashaba, has grown a lot of traction recently, especially during and post recent Municipal Elections.
After just over a year in practice, the party managed to garner over 550 000 votes in the last Municipal Elections, making up 2.36% of the overall vote. It seems also that they have taken a rather different approach in appointing their team members, appointing young people to prominent positions.
This is a relatively rare trait for South African political organisations, who, apart from the very mixed received Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), have historically appointed members mature in age to positions of power.
Their youngest councillors-elect, whom they just announced, is Sthembelo Majola, who is of the tender age of 23-years old. Only time will tell whether or not their openness to youth appointment will work in their favour.
