School Performance Report 2024
The School Performance Report is a document released by the national Department of Basic Education in conjunction with the release of the national Matric exam results. For the exams written at the end of 2024 the results will be announced by the Minister on the evening of Monday 13th January 2025. This will include the national and provincial pass rates. Individual results will be available to learners the following day on the 14th January 2025.
NSC Matric Results
The report presents data on the performance of all schools that wrote the 2023 NSC Examination, including public schools, special schools and independent schools. The Schools Performance Report also provides data on the overall performance of all these schools over a three-year period so that a school is able to measure and track its performance over the last three years.
School Performance Report 2024 PDF
2023 marks the tenth year of a CAPS-aligned NSC Examination, which means that schools can compare their historic performance in a stabilising curriculum and assessment policy framework. This will help them to establish if they too have reached stability in terms of effective implementation of the intended curriculum.
Matric Pass Rate Per School 2024
This report details the number of candidates that wrote the examination, the number of candidates that achieved the NSC and the pass percentage in every school, over the last three years. It also provides a list of schools that obtained 100% and those that obtained below 40% over a period of five years respectively.
