Answer

The University of South Africa (Unisa) has stated earlier this year that final date for initial minimum payments is 28 February 2023.

All fees must be paid into the Unisa official bank account with the correct reference number in order for the university to process your registration before the relevant closing date.

The university has resolved to allow students with outstanding debt from the 2022 academic year, but who are left with a maximum of two modules to complete their qualification and to register upon completion and approval of an Acknowledgement of Debt (AOD) form.

For students' convenience, Unisa provides a variety of different payment methods. In the case of electronic transfers, please ensure that the reference field is completed correctly. No cash or cheques will be accepted at any Unisa office. Cash can, however, be paid into the university’s official bank account at any First National Bank branch.

No student will be allowed to re-register with the university until all outstanding debt of previous registration periods has been settled in full.

A similar arrangement will be extended to those who are still awaiting confirmation of funding from NSFAS, subject to the necessary terms and conditions. For further enquiries and to complete the AOD where applicable, students are advised to contact the university at [email protected]
