What Is Required For The Youth Micro Enterprise Relief Fund?

Answer: 

You have to make sure that you meet the requirements before you apply for the Youth Micro Enterprise Relief Fund.

The requirements are as follows:

  • The enterprise must write a motivation demonstrating how it has been impacted by COVID-19

  • The enterprise must be owned by youth between the age of 18 to 35 years.

  • The owner(s) of the enterprise must be South African citizens and must be residing in the country.

  • The business must operate within the borders of South Africa

Supporting documents required:

  • Submit CIPC registration documents of the youth enterprise (except for informal businesses).

  • Provide proof that the youth owned enterprise had been existing and operating for a period of six (6) months prior to the lockdown. This proof must be submitted in the form of management accounts (i.e. invoices, orders, bank statements not older than 3 months etc.)

  • Provide the enterprise's bank statements for three (3) months before the lockdown and statements during the lockdown

  • Provide proof of banking details that is not older than six (6) months
