Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released on Disney Plus on Wednesday 1 February 2023. The sequel to 2018's Black Panther was out in cinemas back in November 2022 but will now be available to stream at home.
The film is an emotional one, following the tragic passing of Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman in 2020, as well as his character, King T'Challa.
In the new film, the nation faces a new threat in the form of an underwater kingdom led by the intimidating monarch Namor (Tenoch Huerta Mejía).
With the tragic and untimely death of lead star Chadwick Boseman, the Black Panther saga sought to pay tribute to its leader, and that’s precisely what director Ryan Coogler, the cast, crew, and writers of Wakanda Forever accomplished.
When the movie is released on the streaming service, viewers will be able to watch all of Phase 4 in chronological order from start to finish in anticipation of Phase 5.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever received much love and positive reviews from fans, hitting the box office at $772 million.
With 82 days between the November 11 theatrical release and the February 1 Disney+ debut, Black Panther 2 has broken the record for Marvel Studios' longest theatrical-to-streaming window since the creation of Disney's own platform.
Angela Bassett accepted the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards held on Tuesday night in Beverly Hills, California.
The Golden Globes are awards granted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, recognizing excellence in both American and international film and television.
Bassett, 64, was emotional as she accepted the award that also made motion picture history. She was the first actor to win a Golden Globe for a role in a Marvel film.
