Due to the coronavirus, higher education institutions have no choice but to suspend, cancel or postpone graduation ceremonies. Most institutions, if not all, have opted for graduation ceremonies to be postponed to a later date when mass gatherings no longer pose a risk to individuals.
Universities are still putting in efforts to make up for this though as students deserve to still celebrate this milestone in some way.
The University of Johannesburg calls all 2020 UJ graduates to share short 30-second video clips about completing their academic journey, how the journey has been, what great advice they can give to students that are still studying and ultimately how it feels to finally be a graduate despite the challenges.
Videos can be sent to [email protected] by the 31st May at 16:00 and UJ will be sure to share these amazing videos with the rest of the UJ community on all UJ’s social media platforms.
So, join in on the fun by sending your video with a short caption, in your graduation gown or graduation outfit.
