The Durban University of Technology was established as a result of a merger between two technikons, ML Sultan and Technikon Natal.

DUT prioritises the quality of teaching and learning by ensuring its academic staff possess the highest possible qualification that they can get and they are situated in Durban and Pietermaritzburg.

DUT has six Faculties, Accounting and Informatics, Applied Sciences, Management Sciences, Engineering and the Built Environment, Health Sciences and Arts & Design.

If you have received placement or if you are a returning student at DUT, this how you can register.

How To Register At DUT

  1. Visit www.dut.ac.za
  2. Click on the Student Tab
  3. Log in using your student number and pin (pin is 9mmdd)
  4. Check to see if your personal details are correct
  5. Click the registration tab and complete all the sub-tabs in the correct order as they are dependent on the previous tab
  6. Pay the online registration fee before continuing with registration
  7. Click accept registration if all your details are correct
  8. On the next screen, you will be required to enter your personal and banking details
  9. Verify the details in the previous steps
  10. Click on email proof of registration
  11. Download proof of registration as it will be needed along with your ID
  12. Click on process status and if successful click next  

Once you have completed the steps mentioned above you will be registered at DUT.
