CPUT Says No Online Teaching

Lockdown has delayed many academic programmes of higher education institutions. CPUT will not be engaging online teaching methods and assessments.

Due to the lockdown, many universities have shut their doors temporarily and have extended their vacations dates. Some universities have begun their terms but have done so using online teaching and learning methods. CPUT, however, is not one of them.

CPUT released a statement which stated that no online teaching and assessments will be taking place while South Africa observes this lockdown period.

The University has said, “These activities continue to be suspended, and will commence once lockdown has concluded.”

CPUT Vice Chancellor, Chris Nhlapo, has said, “I hope to welcome each and every student and staff member back to campus once the lockdown concludes.”

Further information will be given as the end of the lockdown approaches.
