Most parents may already know where they would like to send their children to school, however, some may still be searching for schools. Well here is how you can find schools near you.

Parents who are still looking for schools for their children may have a look on provincial education websites, such as the Western Cape Education Department. Their database allows parents to locate schools by entering the following keywords:

  • School name
  • Language of instruction
  • Suburb or town
  • Education district
  • Type of school (primary etc)
  • Subjects offered (Grades 8 to12)
  • Special centres (art, music etc)

Parents may locate schools by clicking on their province::

When applying to these schools, parents are advised to apply to multiple schools to ensure their child receives a place.
