This internship will give successful candidates hands-on experience at one of the world's leading consumer goods companies, where you’ll help drive the company’s factories towards World Class Manufacturing — aiming for zero defects, zero waste, and zero losses.

Main Responsibilities of the Process Engineering Intern

As a Process Engineering Intern at Unilever, your key responsibilities will include:

•     Completing all training, assessments, project work, logbooks, and presentations required by the programme.
•     Applying a range of Focused Improvement and Quality Improvement tools to reduce losses in Safety, Quality, Cost Deployment, Customer Service, and Logistics.
•     Collecting and analysing data to support cost deployment and performance improvement initiatives.
•     Working closely with line teams daily, acting as a technical trainer and coach in areas such as root cause analysis, phenomena identification, and problem-solving techniques.
•     Implementing validated process improvements and setting new basic operating conditions on the production line.
•     Supporting the transition of line teams into semi-autonomous work teams by eliminating waste and improving operational stability.
•     Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within assigned operations.
•     Complying with Unilever’s site rules regarding safety, quality, and ethical business conduct.

Requirements to Apply

To be eligible for this Unilever internship programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

•     Have completed a degree or National Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
•     Be proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
•     Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
