About the Tiger Brands Internship Programme

This Work Integrated Learning opportunity will allow you to work on projects that align with your career goals while contributing to Tiger Brands’ business objectives. 

As an intern, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain on-the-job experience, and enhance your understanding of key SHE (Safety, Health and Environmental) principles in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities: What You’ll Do During the Internship

As a Safety Management Intern, your responsibilities will include:

  •     Supporting safety-related projects and assisting with problem-solving activities
  •     Participating in SHE audits and inspections
  •     Assisting with contractor safety management
  •     Contributing to SHE training programmes and awareness campaigns
  •     Involvement in incident investigations and data collection
  •     Reviewing safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  •     Participating in emergency drills and conducting Planned Job Observations (PJOs)
  •     Working alongside a multidisciplinary team to complete your assigned internship project
  •     Carrying out additional duties as requested by your line manager

Minimum Requirements: Who Should Apply?

Tiger Brands is looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  •     National Diploma in Safety Management (looking to complete P1 & P2 training)
  •     SAMTRAC qualification (preferred)
  •     A strong passion for safety, health, and environmental practices
  •     Good communication, analytical, and team collaboration skills
  •     Commitment to learning, personal development, and contributing to workplace excellence
