SASOL Learnership Programme


Sasol is offering a Learnership Programme located in Sasolburg and Secunda. If you think you have what it takes to become a Sasol Learner Artisan, this could be the opportunity for you. 

Sasol Limited is an integrated energy and chemical company based in Sandton, South Africa. They develop and commercialise technologies, and build and operate world-scale facilities to produce a range of high-value product stream, including liquid fuels, chemicals and low-carbon electricity. 

The learnerships are located in Sasolburg and Secunda. 

This opportunity is only open to South African citizens.

You can take up a learnership in the following fields:

  • Chemical Plant Operations (AKA Process/Production)
  • Instrumentation and Control
  • Electrical operations
  • Fitting
  • Turning
  • Boilermaking
  • Welding
  • Rigging


A completed National Senior Certificate or equivalent with a pass in:

  • Technical Mathematics/Mathematics SG/HG
  • English/Business English SG/HG
  • Technical/Physical Sciences SG/HG

A combined N3 certificate, equivalent to Grade 12 which includes:

  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Business English

One application per person. After being shortlisted, you will partake in an interview along with medical and fitness assessments, security clearances, qualification verification and then you will be officially selected if you are successful.
