OUTsurance has been propelling the South African insurance industry forward for the last 26 years. As leaders in the field, they’re always looking for innovative ways to create digitally-advanced solutions, without losing sight of human values.
The internship is a structured work-based program, affording unemployed graduates work experience in our company. The successful applicants will enter into a 12-month fixed term Internship agreement (not an employment contract) with the company and receive a stipend.
Minimum Requirements
- Be a South African citizen
- Not previously being part of an internship/learnership with INSETA
- Be between the ages of 18 & 35
- Unemployed in the last 2 months
- Matric
- BIS Multimedia / BA Graphic Design or similar
Exposure to one or more of the below disciplines will be beneficial:
- Graphic design
- Instructional design
- Video animation and editing
- Audio and video production
Exposure to coding using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be highly beneficial but is not compulsory
Required Competencies & Personal Attributes:
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong admin orientation with exceptional language and writing ability
- Able to work in isolation as well as within a team
- Creative and innovative
- Open to criticism and feedback
- Researching skills
- Highly analytical, with problem-solving abilities
- Passionate about systems and creating efficiencies
- Ability to engage with, and to transfer knowledge to, peers and stakeholders at any level
