Requirements 

  • This bursary is for all fields of study.
  • Only for SA citizens
  • For Full-time Honours, Masters and Doctoral study. 
  • Good moral values
  • Positive post-matric leadership in the following fields: sport, cultural, academics, religion etc.

Although not a requirement for the award, the University will give preference to applicants who, in addition to the stipulated conditions, obtained a good academic record in their previous degree/studies.

Students from Universities which is not Stellenbosch University must submit an academic transcript.

Two testimonials verifying the criteria must accompany the application form. A CV should also accompany the application.

In order to comply with the requirements, the applicant needs to state 3 outstanding achievements in at least 2 of the following leadership categories, i.e. participation in SU student leadership structures, sport, participation in cultural activities/community involvement or leadership roles in religion.  ​
