The City of Johannesburg is recruiting for internships now. Internships available:
- Internship: Call Centre
- Internship: Climate Change Adaption
- Internship: Human Settlements
Designation: Internship: Revenue Call Centre
Remuneration: (Qualification completed with min 360 credits): R9 531,54 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)
(Enrolled as a student) : R3 500,00 pm (Basic salary, no benefits)
Location: Thuso House, 61 Jorissen Street, Braamfontein
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus a relevant tertiary qualification at NQF level 6 or student enrolled towards at NQF level 6 qualification.
• Only City of Joburg residents will be considered.
Primary Function:
Provide a high level of Call Centre service, both telephonic and written, using initiative to analyse, identify account queries and process necessary procedures using all available resources in order to resolve revenue related queries on first point on contact, logging and/or escalating all the queries that cannot be resolved to the relevant department, whilst meeting or exceeding targets set by the R & CRM department and the needs of customers.

Requirements
- Grade 12/NQF level 4 plus Degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences, or Energy studies or related field.
- Computer literacy including MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good Communication skills.
- Project management skills.
- Coordinating skills.
- Report writing.
- Basic knowledge of Climate change Science;
- Knowledge of the Climate Change Act.
- Collaborative/Teamwork, Values and Integrity, Attention to detail, and quality-focused;
- Customer and Service Delivery Management (Batho Pele) Ethics,
- Professionalism.
- Only City of Joburg residents will be considered.
Internship: Human Settlements
Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus Degree (NQF level 7) in Business Management Administration/ Public Management or Public Administration.
- Computer Literacy and Office Applications;
- Language proficiency (reading and written) in English;
- Organisational skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Proficiency with computer software and applications and ability to analyse data using Microsoft Excel;
- Flexibility / adaptability;
- Interpersonal abilities;
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritise work;
- Self confidence;
- Creativity;
- Numeracy.
- Knowledge of council standard processes and procedures relating to providing administrative support, General.
- General knowledge of Municipal governments and city regulations / codes.
- Ability to work independently after receiving initial guidance;
- Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner;
- Details oriented and team player;
