Coastal College Online Application
Coastal KZN TVET College is a merger of the former Durban Technical College, Swinton Road Technical College and Umlazi Technical College. The College offers a variety of courses to help equip students for their chosen career path.
Coastal TVET College
Applications are open for 2025 courses at the TVET College and will close on 30 September.
Students are encouraged to apply for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) bursary first because they will need to submit their NSFAS reference number when applying to the College.
Students are advised to include a reliable cell number and permanent email address in their application. These details are necessary because the college will make use of it to communicate with them.
Apply Online
When applying, students are required to upload a few important documents, which include:
- Certified copy of the applicant’s Identity Document (ID)
- Certified copy of the parent or legal guardian’s ID
- Academic results
Before students may proceed with the application process, they are required to do the “Placement Test for New Students”. The placement test is available on the college website under the Notice Board.
Once they have selected the placement test option, they will be directed to a page where they will create an account for themselves. After creating an account, they will be able to take the placement test.
How To Apply: Coastal College Online Application
- Visit the Coastal KZN TVET College website.
- Scroll down to Notice Board.
- Select “apply here” next to "Application For New Students".
- Follow the steps to complete the application and you will receive your Student number and PIN.
- Use the Student number and PIN to log in to the “Online Registration Portal”, under Notice Board.
- Complete the registration process.
