College of Cape Town Trimester Applications Are Open

Applications for the second Trimester are open at the College of Cape Town for Engineering. Apply now before space runs out at the College.

The College of Cape Town has opened their applications for the second trimester for Engineering studies.

Applications will close on 30 April 2021. There are limited spaces available.

The following programmes are offered at the following campuses:

Athlone campus

  • N1 :Building & Civil engineering
  • N1: Mechanical Engineering: Fitting & Machining
  • N1: Mechanical Engineering: Motor Mechanics

Requirements: Minimum of Grade 11 with Pure Maths (Maths Lit will be considered)

Guguletu campus

  • Electrical Engineering N1-N3

Minimum requirement is Grade 10 with Mathematics

Pinelands campus

  • Electrical Engineering N4-N6
    • Minimum requirements are N3 or grade 12 with Mathematics
  • National N1-N3 Certificates in Building and Civil Engineering
    • 1 full year
    • Each level is one trimester (12 weeks)
    • Distance learning only
  • N1
    • Minimum of Grade 11 with Mathematics above 50% is required
  • National N1-N3 Certificates in Electrical Engineering
    • 1 full year
    • Each level is one trimester (12 weeks)
    • Distance Learning Only
  • N1
    • Minimum requirement is Grade 9 with Mathematics above 60
  • National N1-N3 Certificates in Mechanical Engineering
    • 1 full year each level is one trimester (12 weeks)
    • Distance Learning Only
  • N1
    • Minimum requirement is Grade 11 with Mathematics above 50%

Thornton campus

  • Mechanical Engineering N4-N6 Certificates
    • 1 year full time each level is one trimester (12 weeks)
    • Minimum requirement is N3 or grade 12 pass with Mathematics and Science
  • Building and Civil Engineering N4-N6 Certificates
  • 1 year full time each level is one trimester (12 weeks)
  • Minimum requirement is N3 or grade 12 pass with Mathematics and Science

How To Apply

  1. Get a form from the relevant campus or download it from the College website www.cct.edu.za.
  2. Send it to the College through one of the following channels:

    • Hand deliver: Relevant campus

All you need to apply for the course is:

  • certified copy of your id
  • certified copy of your results
  • proof of address
