Bursary Details

Rand Water invites undergraduate students who are interested in joining the Water Sector an opportunity to apply for the 2025 External Bursary Scheme for following disciplines:  

  • B Comm Accounting/Finance: 3rd Year x1
  • B Comm Corporate Communication 2nd Year x1
  • BSc Hons Microbiology: 2nd Year x1
  • BSc- Chemistry:2nd Year x2
  • BSc (Chem Eng/Chem/Biochem): 3rd Year x2
  • BSc (Hons) Hydrology/Modeling: 4th Year x1
  • BSc Degree Natural Science(Environmental Education): 3rd Year x2
  • Diploma Electrical: 2nd Year x2
  • B Eng Maintenance Engineering: 2nd Year x3
  • B Eng Mechanical Engineering: 2nd Year x3
  • Diploma Instruments and Process control: 2nd Year x2
  • BCom Economics: 2nd and 3rd Year x2
Candidate Requirements
  • South African citizens.
  • Previously disadvantaged individuals (ACI).
  • Have Passed Matric or equivalent and currently studying within one of the aforementioned fields of study.
  • Meet minimum average of 65% and academic performance in major subjects.
  • Not in possession of other bursary/funding
  • Applicant must be under the age of 35 years
  • Applicants must be full-time students at registered and recognized tertiary educational institution.

Conditions of Bursary

As a Bursar you are expected to complete qualification on time in line with Bursary Contract/Agreement.
