Bursary Details

City Power Johannesburg (SOC) Limited as a progressive company committed to the skills and development initiatives of the country and striving for the social and economic development of the region, invites Applicants to apply for a bursary.

CITY POWER will fund the following qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering (Heavy/Light Current)
  • Risk management
  • Environmental Health Management
  • Information Technology
     

 

Candidate Requirements
  • Bursaries shall be awarded to deserving and qualifying candidates from within the City of Johannesburg service area.
  • There shall be a gender ratio of 70% female to 30% male.
  • Grade 12 learners with a minimum symbol of C (60%) who meet the admission criteria as set by the educational institution.
  • Undergraduate students at Universities or Universities of Technology or TVET Colleges with excellent academic performance with a minimum average percentage mark of 60%.
  • Preferably from universities or TVET colleges situated in Gauteng although this is not a requirement.
  • You must be a South African Citizen.

How to Apply

The following documents must accompany your application form:

  • An application form which is obtainable from the City Power Career website;
  • Certified copy of academic transcript (only if you are currently an undergraduate university student);
  • Certified copy of Matric certificate (Grade 12);
  • Certified copy of South African Identity Document:
  • Proof of acceptance at a tertiary study institution (only if you are currently an undergraduate university student).
