Bursary Details

The Aspen Bursaries are available to qualifying South African citizens who wish to study towards a formal qualification included in the bursary program which includes children of Aspen South Africa employees.

Only the specific qualifications from the selected institutions across South Africa, which are listed below, are included in the bursary program, which is at Aspen’s sole discretion.

The Aspen bursaries are determined annually by Aspen, in its sole discretion, based on multiple criteria including available funds.  The Aspen Bursary Committee’s decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

Bursary Inclusion

If successful and subject to Aspen’s sole discretion, the Aspen bursary will cover the following:

  • Registration Fees – up to 100%
  • Tuition Fees – up to 100%
  • Prescribed Books costs – up to 50%
How to Apply

You will need to have been accepted at one of the above universities and provide the below documentation:

  1. Certified copy of South African ID
  2. Acceptance letter to study from the relevant institution
  3. Tuition fees quotation/proforma invoice/quote from the relevant institution
  4. Quotation for prescribed textbooks for the study (if applicable)
  5. Final results – previous academic year of study (if continuation of study)
  6. Copies of (i) pay slips for both mother and father (or guardian, as appropriate), (ii) if parents are not working, a sworn affidavit or proof of UIF registration to be provided, (iii) proof of other sources of income (if applicable)
