The Western Cape Provincial Treasury (Cape Town) invites matriculants, undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in pursuing careers in Economics; Accounting; Public Finance; Corporate Governance; Asset Management; Built Environment and Internal Auditing to apply for bursaries. Applicants with disabilities are welcome to apply.

Richards Bay Minerals (RBM) is an internationally recognised sand mining and mineral processing operations leader and is one of the worlds foremost producers of titanium minerals, high purity pig iron and zircon. With the RBM Bursary Scheme, the financial needs of bursars are covered, and bursars also get provided with the prospect of employment with a world leader in the mineral sands industry.

The State Information Technology Agency (SITA), in support of Government plans to develop skills, create sustainable employment and alleviate the plight of unemployment amongst South African youth, has implemented Learnerships as part of its Youth Development Programme.

The Northern Cape Department of Health (DoH) has made bursaries available for full-time study in various fields of study relating to science and health.

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) has received substantial funding from the Department of Arts and Culture in order to provide bursaries to students enrolling for the BA Language Practice programme and at least one of South Africas indigenous languages. The grant has been made available for the three-year period from 2012 until 2014 and will enable eligible students to graduate with minimal costs on their side since their tuition fees as well as learning material such as prescribed books will be covered by the bursary.

The Ekurhuleni Metro has a high number of residents with no post-Grade 12 qualification. In an effort to curb this trend, the metro will award bursaries to hard-working learners from disadvantaged backgrounds who wish to further their studies.

The National Institute for Theoretical Physics (NITheP) offers bursaries on the Honours, Masters and Doctoral levels for students studying in Theoretical Physics.

The CIB DST-NRF Centre of Excellence for Invasion Biology is a national research centre with its home office based at Stellenbosch University and with partner institutions across the country. The CIB offers funding for research and post graduate studies that focus on understanding the effects?of invasive plants, animals and pathogens on the natural, social?or economic environment, and the management of these effects.

The DST/NRF Centre of Excellence in Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (SACEMA), a national research centre dedicated to the modelling of disease transmission and progression and focusing on South Africa's major health challenges, is inviting applications for bursaries to study towards MSc or PhD degrees in fields relating to epidemiology, biostatistics and epidemiological modelling.
