What Kind of Allowances Does ISFAP Give?

The ISFAP bursary was put in place to assist financially needy students with their tertiary education. The bursary does not only cover tuition fees but also provides students with other allowances.

ISFAP refers to the Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme which is a bursary scheme that is targeted towards the missing middle.

The missing middle consists of students whose household income is too much to be covered by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) but is too little to pay for themselves.

ISFAP does not only over the tuition fees of the student but also the accommodation and the travelling.

Other allowances that ISFAP provides are:

  • Food
  • Learning material (textbooks, calculators, etc.)
  • Living allowance/Pocket money
  • Non-academic student support

The ISFAP bursary is ideal for student who find themselves in a position that does not allow them to fund their own tertiary education but, still wish to study.
