Once you have paid your study fees at UNISA, you may realise that you do not have much additional cash left for buying textbooks. Buying them brand new can be really expensive.

It is quite common for students to delay their studies until they have enough money for textbooks. Unfortunately this is not the best idea, as you will end up being behind on your course work and this will impact your assignments and overall progress.

Instead of waiting until you have money for textbooks, it may be advisable to purchase some secondhand UNISA textbooks.

The question that needs to be asked is: where can I buy secondhand UNISA textbooks?

There are a number of places that sell UNISA textbooks secondhand for lower prices.

Gumtree is one place where you are guaranteed to find secondhand UNISA textbooks. Not only do you have the option of purchasing textbooks from other people but you can also put up an advertisement stating which books you are looking for.

You can also check OLX classifieds and the Junk Mail classifieds.

Armstrongs sell secondhand UNISA textbooks. You can contact them via their website on: armstrongs.co.za

Registered UNISA students can buy and sell their secondhand textbooks directly from the myUnisa website. However, you need to be a registered UNISA student to do so. You can go to the e-Bookshop link on the left hand side, when you have logged into myUNISA.

Buying secondhand textbooks is very easy as Pimp My Book sells official UNISA textbooks which are secondhand. You have the option of both buying and selling secondhand UNISA textsbooks. For more information you can visit Pimp My Book at: www.pimpmybook.co.za

A list of official UNISA booksellers and contact details, for brand new books can be found on the MyUNISA website:my.unisa.ac.za
