The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) provides vital financial support to millions of South Africans through grants such as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant. The R370 Sassa grant is set to come to an end in March 2025.

The R370 SASSA grant, a critical relief measure, is aimed at individuals who meet specific eligibility criteria. Once approved, beneficiaries can collect their payments through various convenient channels.

SRD Grant Payment Dates For February 2025

SRD grants are usually paid in the final week of the month, once Sassa has completed verification checks. These verification checks seek to ensure only deserving individuals receive SRD grant payments.

SRD grant payments for February will be made between 26 February and 28 February.

SRD grant beneficiaries are encouraged to complete an SRD Grant Status Check to see if they have been approved for payments and when to expect Sassa payment.

How To Do A Sassa Status Check For R350 Payment Date

First, visit the SASSA SRD status website for the SRD status check section. You will then be asked to fill in your ID number, as well as the cell phone number that you used when you submitted your grant application.

After this, you will be able to check the progress of your R370 Sassa grant application by doing a Sassa status check. For security, you will receive a One time pin which you will need to enter to see your Sassa grant payment status.

You will also be able to see your SRD grant payment date which will indicate to you the exact date you can expect to see payment reflect in your account.

Where To Collect SRD Grant Payments

Bank Account

Sassa beneficiaries can choose to have their Sassa grant be paid directly to their bank account.

Retail Stores

Sassa grant beneficiaries can also collect their Sassa social grants at several payment points. These payment points include retail stores such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, USave and Boxer.

You will need to have your ID with you to collect your R370 Sassa grant payment.

Sassa has said that there is no need to rush to withdraw the Sassa money on the first day because once the money is paid, it will stay in your bank account.
