All candidates who wrote the 2023 November NSC Examinations can collect their certificates from their respective schools from 3 June 2024.
Learners will now finally receive official documentation of their hard work and academic achievements in the November NSC exams. The matric certificate marks the culmination of their high school careers.

The DBE encourages learners to collect their certificates as soon as possible. These documents are crucial for further education applications, job seeking, and other official purposes.
What Certificate Did Matriculants Get In January?
The day after the ministerial matric results announcement, learners will visit their schools to get their matric results. However, the document they released is not their NSC certificates.
The document they received at their schools in January is a statement of results. This statement of results can be used to apply for jobs and other education opportunities.
Umalusi issues the final certificate after the re-marking and re-checking processes are completed to ensure accuracy. This usually happens around May of the following year but could be as late as September. The official Umalusi certificate serves as the permanent record of your NSC qualification.
