The Department of Energy is offering internships or Experiential Training Programmes to 100 successful candidates in a number of provinces countrywide. The monthly salary stiped will be R 3,850.00 per month. Placements are available in Gauteng (20) Mpumalanga (6) KwaZulu-Natal (15) Western Cape (12) North West (5) Free State (5) Limpopo (15) Eastern Cape (20) and Northern Cape (2).
N6 or S4 Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) PLUS the following key competencies: report writing, communication, interpretation and development.
Communication skills must include verbal and written, and well as proficiency in at least two official languages (one must be English). Creativity: candidates must be innovative, articulate, good listeners and have the ability to work as a team and the ability to work under pressure. They must also be open minded.

x Successful candidates in possession of a S4 Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) will be appointed on a total training programme of 12 (twelve) months.
x Successful candidates in possession of a N6 Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) will be appointed on a total training programme of 18 (eighteen) months.
