EduPuppets— is a children's lifeskills production company that bring puppetry to schools as an entertaining educational tool. EduPuppets performs educational shows at schools, libraries, festivals and special events and also offers puppet/theatre workshops for children, teachers and entrepreneurs. Edupuppets is always looking for new talent to develop in the art of puppetry via its Internship Programme.

Requirements:

• Must be aged 18 years +,
• Must be hard-working, dedicated and have the ability to act / perform,
• All interns with any skills or ideas of value will be acknowledged on our website, such as composing songs, scripts, etc.,
• The internship involves shadowing performers, training in puppet manipulation and performing, understudies for performers and backstage assistance,
• During the internship, interns will have the opportunity to be cast for productions & birthday parties for which he/she will be paid,
• Payment of interns will be dependent on their role in the production / birthday show, and
• Must be fluent in English with either Afrikaans / Xhosa.

Training / internships for artists are also available in:

• Puppet building
• Set design
• Creating backdrops and props are also available.

Items produced by interns that are of a good standard are paid for by EduPuppets or sold online on its website.
