How to apply online

  1. Go to the NWU website
  2. Click on 'study at NWU' and then 'apply here'
  3. Click on the banner
  4. You will then see steps 1 through to 5
  5. Click on each step and do what each one tells you to

Application Closing Dates

  • Music: Specific closing dates, visit website
  • Graphic Design: 31 August 2023
  • Engineering: 31 August 2023
  • Urban and Regional planning: 31 August 2023
  • BSc Consumer Sciences: 31 August 2023
  • Occupational Hygiene: 31 August 2023
  • All other selection courses: 30 June 2023

How to track your application

  1. Go to the NWU website
  2. Click on 'study at NWU' and then 'apply here'
  3. Go to the bottom menu and click on 'How to apply'
  4. Then click on 'Application status'
  5. You will be given a link to click on 
  6. Once you've clicked on it, you will need to log in
  7. You will then be able to see your NWU application statu

NWU offers Undergraduate studies, Postgrad studies, Distance Learning and Short Courses. There are three campuses, namely: Mafikeng Campus, Potchefstroom Campus and the Vaal Triangle Campus.
