Ethel & Isaac Swartz Music Bursary

Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) is proud to announce the availability of the Isaac and Ethel Swartz Scholarship for prospective students intending to study Musicology / Performance in Music 2012.

First year full-time music students in 2012 are eligible. Preference will be given to financially needy and academically deserving students from the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa.

To qualify for selection applicants must:

  • Register for either:
  • Diploma in Music Education
  • BMus.

The bursary recipient will have to submit satisfactory progress reports to the Head of Department at the end of every semester.

Qualifying candidates must apply in writing and must include:

  • a letter of motivation;
  • a full curriculum vitae;
  • Grade 12 results (Mid/Final);
  • Certified copy of ID document.
