With the aim of empowering communities, improving lifestyles and producing a competent workforce Eskom is offering previously disadvantaged South African learners the opportunity to receive a bursary to further their studies in the Engineering, Accounting, Commerce, Communications and Human resources fields.
Eskom regards the awarding of bursaries as a major contribution towards broadening the national skills pool. Bursaries are further awarded to candidates intending to study at recognised higher education institutions namely, universities, universities of technology, and further education and training institutions.
Eskom commits itself to providing bursaries to previously disadvantaged South African learners intending to study in the fields of Engineering, Accounting, Commerce, Communications and Human resources and who qualify for selection.
University Bursary Holder
Prerequisites
Matriculation exemption (or equivalent) and written proof of acceptance for admission by university and faculty.
Minimum criteria
• matric exemption
Technical disciplines Exemption with
• mathematics 60%/5
• English 50%/4
Non-technical disciplines
• Average 60% /5

• psychometric assessment
• health declaration
